ENVIS-NIOH Centre on” ENVIRONMENT AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH celebrated the “National Safety Day” on 4th March, 2017 to raise awareness about the importance of a safe and healthy work environment.

On this occasion an awareness programme on Occupational Health & Safety issues in workers in Foundry works at Jagdish Foundries Pvt. Ltd, Naroda was conducted. The workers were briefed on the occupational hazards and the precautions to be taken related to their occupation by Mr. Pankaj Doctor (Scientist-E, Coordinator, ENVIS-NIOH).At the end of the session the workers took a pledge on Safety for up building a safer Work Environment and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. There were around 40 workers as participants. Ms. Shruti Patel , Technician-C, NIOH , Ms. Annie Soju, Programme officer , ENVIS NIOH, Ms. Prarthana Trivedi, Information Officer, ENVIS NIOH, Mr. Deepak Purohit , IT Assistant , ENVIS NIOH , played important roles for the successful completion of the mission.
