The United Nationals General Assembly on 23rd January,1995adoted resolution 49/114, which proclaims 16th September as the World Ozone Day. The World Ozone Day offers an opportunity to focus global attention and action on this vital environmental issue. The theme for the celebration of this World Ozone Day is “Caring for all life under the sun”. On this backdrop, NIOH-ENVIS center organized an awareness programme on Ozone Layer production and its associated environmental benefits on 15th September 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the auditorium of National Institute of Occupational Health. The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Rekha Kashyap, Scientist F, ENVIS Coordinator by Dr. L.K.Sharma, Scientist C, ENVIS Co-Coordinator. On this occasion a brief presentation on Ozone Day was given by Dr. L.K.Sharma, Scientist C, ENVIS Co-Coordinator, followed by video films on Ozone Protection and a success story was displayed to around 100 Scientific and technical staff including the research scholars of the institute.
