ENVIS-NIOH celebrated the “Swachhata Diwas” on 1st October, 2015 to raise awareness about the importance of a clean and healthy environment. ENVIS NIOH team visited Lalli Gam, DistAhmedabad. An awareness programme was carried out for the school children of the village on the importance of cleanliness and pamphlets on swachhata were distributed among them. An awareness programme was also carried out for the women of the village, who play a key role in the society for the cleanliness drive to make them understand the initiative they have to take for the cleanliness at home to avoid the communicable diseases and to protect her family.
